Privacy policy

At Matchball we take the privacy of your information and your players' information seriously. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it and the rights you have over it.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide: name, email, phone, password, billing data, club or circuit information, and information about the players you register (name, contact, ranking, sports history).

Information we collect automatically: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, product usage events and cookies. This information helps us measure Service performance and detect abuse.

2. How we use the information

We use the data to:

• Operate the Service and deliver the features you request.
• Process payments and issue invoices.
• Communicate with you about updates, support and new features.
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Improve the Service through aggregated analytics.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Technology providers that operate on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, analytics) under confidentiality agreements.
• Authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights.
• Other Service users within the natural product flow (for example, players see the bracket they're part of).

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your session, remember preferences (such as language) and measure use of the Service. You can configure your browser to block them, but some functionality may stop working correctly.

5. Security

We implement reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and monitoring. However, no system is 100% secure; please choose strong passwords and report any suspicion of improper access.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Mexico) and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you.
• Rectify incorrect or outdated data.
• Cancel your account and request deletion of your data.
• Object to processing for specific purposes.
• Limit use or disclosure.
• Portability: receive your information in an exportable format.

7. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for an additional period of 60 days after cancellation, unless the law requires longer terms (billing, accounting).

8. Minors

The Service is aimed at adult clubs and organizers. If you register minor players, you are responsible for obtaining consent from their parents or guardians as required by applicable law.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers outside Mexico (for example, the United States or the European Union). We ensure such transfers comply with an adequate level of protection.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will notify material changes at least 30 days in advance through the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date is always available at the top of this document.
